It’s been an exciting week for me and my project! My mini-collection is now up on display physically in the library and digitally in the Collection Highlights, and I’ve started enhancing the cataloging for the items. It’s been very gratifying to see all the different things I’ve been working on for the past 7 weeks (it doesn’t feel like it’s been nearly that long) come together into something tangible.
I’ve learned so much about what goes into putting up a display, which, like most things in the library, comes down to maximizing accessibility—location selection, figuring out how all the materials will be laid out, creating signage, and so on and so forth. The process of it all has been so much fun, especially getting to work with and learn from so many wonderful people.
I will leave you for the week with a shameless promotion: if you’re interested in Frankenstein (or if you’d like to be), check out the current display in the Libe!
