This was a bit of a special week, because almost all of my work time was spent exploring different kinds of libraries and hearing about several people’s unique paths to librarianship. I got to go on a field trip to a larger academic library and a public library, and then I had the opportunity to meet with one of the former Gould Library interns, who now has experience in law libraries. These glimpses into the wider world of libraries and librarianship helped me contextualize the great library experiences I’ve already had at Carleton and gave me insight into all the possibilities I can explore as I figure out what my future path will look like. Overall, I’m really grateful I was able to learn so much and have such cool experiences in the process!
